Affiliate Disclosure Policy
How Dealki earns revenue, what affiliate links are, and what this means for you.
Last updated: October 16, 2026Dealki participates in affiliate marketing programs. This means we may earn a commission when you click a link on this site and make a purchase at a partner retailer. We're required by the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (and similar laws in other countries) to tell you this, and we think it's only fair you know how we keep the lights on.
Plain-English Summary
- Dealki is a free coupon site run independently. We don't charge users anything.
- When you click a coupon link and buy something, the retailer may pay us a small commission.
- The price you pay is exactly the same whether you click through Dealki or go to the retailer directly. There is no markup, surcharge, or hidden fee.
- These commissions pay for hosting, domain, and maintenance. They're how Dealki stays online.
- Not every link is an affiliate link. Links in blog posts, the About page, and the Privacy Policy, for example, are just regular links.
- Dealki is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of the retailers whose coupons we list. All brand names and logos belong to their respective owners.
What Is an Affiliate Link?
An affiliate link is a regular web link with a small tracking code attached to the end. When you click one and make a purchase within a certain time window (usually 24 hours to 30 days, depending on the retailer), the affiliate network notices the referral and credits the sale to Dealki.
The retailer then pays Dealki a small percentage of the sale β typically between 1% and 10% β as a thank-you for sending a customer. This is a standard practice across the internet: review sites, blogs, YouTube channels, and coupon sites like Dealki all use it.
You can usually spot an affiliate link by hovering over it and looking at the URL β you'll often see extra parameters like ?ref=dealki, ?utm_source=dealki, or the link going through a redirect domain. We also route outgoing coupon clicks through a tracking URL (/go/store/{id}) before sending you to the retailer, which lets us count how many people used a code.
How Dealki Earns Money
Dealki earns money only when you click through to a retailer and complete a purchase. That's it. We do not:
- Charge users subscription fees, login fees, or membership fees
- Sell advertising space on the site
- Accept payment from retailers to feature them or promote specific coupons
- Sell, rent, or share your personal data with anyone (see our Privacy Policy)
- Use pop-ups, push notifications, or intrusive ads
Our income is directly tied to whether the codes actually save you money. If a code doesn't work, you don't buy, and we don't earn anything. That's why keeping codes tested and up to date matters to us.
No Extra Cost to You
Using an affiliate link on Dealki costs you nothing extra. Zero. The price you see at checkout on the retailer's site is the same price anyone else gets, whether they came from Dealki, a Google search, or typed the URL directly.
The commission Dealki earns comes out of the retailer's marketing budget β not out of your pocket. Think of it like a referral bonus: the retailer would rather pay a small commission to someone who brought them a customer than spend the same money on a billboard or search ad.
Which Links Are Affiliate Links?
Not every link on Dealki is an affiliate link. Here's the breakdown:
These are affiliate links:
- The "Get Code" and "Get Deal" buttons on coupon and deal cards
- The store logos and names on store listing pages (when they go to the retailer)
- The "Visit Store" or "Shop Now" buttons on store pages
- Links in blog posts that mention a specific retailer and go to that retailer's site
These are NOT affiliate links:
- Internal links to other Dealki pages (like "About Us" or "Contact")
- Links in the Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, and this Affiliate Disclosure page
- Links to news sites, Wikipedia, or other reference sources in blog posts
- Links to our social media profiles
- Email addresses (
[email protected], etc.)
Our Affiliate Relationships
Dealki may participate in affiliate programs run directly by retailers, or through third-party affiliate networks. Common networks include (but are not limited to):
- Direct partnerships β Amazon Associates, Walmart Affiliates, Target Affiliates, eBay Partner Network, and other retailer-run programs
- Affiliate networks β CJ Affiliate (Commission Junction), Rakuten Advertising, ShareASale, Impact, AWIN, Partnerize, FlexOffers, and similar platforms
- Coupon-specific platforms β GoAffPro, UpPromote, and similar merchant-run affiliate portals
Being in an affiliate program does not mean the retailer endorses Dealki, reviews our content, or has any say in which coupons we list or how we describe them. The relationship is purely commercial: they pay a commission on referred sales, and that's the extent of it.
We Are Not the Retailer
This is worth repeating: Dealki is an independent third-party site. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or officially connected to any of the retailers, brands, or products listed on this site.
All trademarks, brand names, logos, and product images belong to their respective owners and are used on Dealki for identification purposes only β so you know which store a coupon applies to. Their use does not imply any partnership, approval, or endorsement.
If you have a customer service issue, return, refund request, order inquiry, or shipping problem with a purchase you made at a retailer, please contact the retailer directly. Dealki cannot help with orders placed on other sites β we only list coupon codes.
Editorial Independence
Earning commissions does not change what we list or how we describe it. Specifically:
- We do not accept payment to feature a retailer, promote a specific coupon, or rank stores higher
- We do not remove honest reader reports or hide expired codes to protect a commission
- We list codes from retailers we have no affiliate relationship with, when we've seen them work β we just don't earn anything on those
- We do not write fake positive reviews or inflate store ratings
- We do not use fake editor names, fake "verified by" seals, or fabricated community testimonials
The whole point of Dealki is that the codes actually work. A site that promoted bad codes for commissions would lose readers fast, and a site with no readers earns no commissions β so our incentives are aligned with yours.
Code Accuracy & Freshness
Every code listed on Dealki is tested on the retailer's site before it's published. That said, we're realistic about what testing can guarantee:
- A code that worked yesterday can be deactivated by the retailer today, with no notice
- Some codes only work on specific product categories, first orders, minimum cart values, or in certain regions
- Coupon stacking rules (can this code combine with a sale?) vary by retailer and can change
- Currency, tax, and shipping can affect whether a code meets a minimum spend threshold
If a code doesn't work at checkout, please use the Report button on the coupon. This helps us remove broken codes quickly and keeps the listings useful for other readers.
Dealki makes no warranty that any specific code will work at the moment you try it. Always confirm the discount at checkout before completing your purchase.
How Tracking Works
When you click a coupon link on Dealki, here's what happens behind the scenes:
- Step 1: You're briefly redirected through a Dealki tracking URL (e.g.
dealki.com/go/store/123) so we can count the click. - Step 2: You're then forwarded to the retailer's site with an affiliate tag added to the URL (e.g.
?ref=dealki). - Step 3: The retailer (or their affiliate network) sets a cookie in your browser. This cookie notes that you arrived via Dealki.
- Step 4: If you make a purchase within the cookie's window (varies by retailer, usually 24 hours to 30 days), the sale is credited to Dealki and we receive a commission.
We do not install tracking scripts on Dealki that follow you around the web. We do not build advertising profiles on you. What we collect is limited to standard web analytics (page views, click counts, general location) and is covered in full in our Privacy Policy.
You can block affiliate cookies at any time using your browser's privacy settings, an ad blocker, or private/incognito browsing. Doing so means Dealki won't earn a commission from your purchase, but everything else about the site will work normally.
Your Rights as a Reader
You are always free to:
- Go directly to the retailer without clicking through Dealki β no obligation to use our links
- Copy a coupon code and use it at the retailer after navigating there yourself
- Block affiliate cookies in your browser or use private browsing
- Ignore coupon links entirely and just read the site as a reference
- Contact us with questions about a specific link, retailer, or relationship
Affiliate marketing only works when readers choose to click. If you'd rather not support the site that way, that's completely fine β Dealki will keep listing codes either way.
